My Story

The story of how my little bakery came to be is definitely uncommon. My starting goal was never to actually start a business, but rather to see how much I could test my baking limits for fun. I had always loved to bake all throughout high school, but once I graduated, life got super busy! I married my husband of now 6 years shortly after high school, and was working for my dad’s machining business. During the first year of our marriage I began watching tons of youtube videos on how to decorate cakes, and one day decided to just go for it! Well, once I started I never stopped! (clearly..LOL) All of the sudden I found myself being asked by people how they can order, and where they can see pictures of my creations, which led to the creation of a Facebook page, and Liv’s Bakes was born. I quickly outgrew our tiny apartment kitchen, then a new house kitchen, and then even a local bistro’s kitchen that they were allowing me to rent. I ended up getting in touch with Abby Reel, the owner of the Barn III in Goodfield, and it was a perfect match! I used the barn up until May of 2022 when I opened up shop at my house in my own commercial kitchen. It is the cutest space, and it feels like a dream come true to have my own space to let all of the creativity flow. We had a daughter in November of 2020, and a son in May of 2023. They have lit a fire under me to give them the best example of a mom and business owner as possible! Thank you for being here; I am so happy to be serving you through sweet treats! -Olivia
